In light of the 24th of July, the anniversary of lifting censorship in Turkey, Golden Pen of Freedom laureate Can Dündar looks back on the night thirteen journalists of the country's most prestigious newspaper, Cumhuriyet, were arrested and placed in solitary cells after police raided their homes. After 267 days, they are now scheduled to face a judge for the first time. Ironically, on the very day that is meant to stand for press freedom in Turkey.
