What I’m reading: Vol. 62.

What I'm reading

As post-Vegas recovery, I’ve been rereading one of my favorite Tamora Pierce series, Protector of the Small.

Actually I started at the chronologically earlier Song of the Lioness right before Vegas and now I’m 11 books in, at Lady Knight. I find nothing more comforting than rereading books I loved when I was younger, especially when they’re by the great Tammy P.

Internets:

Speaking of the great and marvelous Tammy P, she’s about to release a series about Numair. Read my take on this news at Book Riot.

9 websites for readers who think about books all day every day.

JCK Magazine rounds up what’s happening this week in jewelry Instagrams. Do you recognize my hand?

What sword swallowing taught me about my body. I will never not read an article with a headline like this.

How to clean your clothes the way people in the Georgian era cleaned theirs.

What is it like to have your period in space? Pretty normal, it turns out. Bonus: this article includes a quote from an expert who is identified as a “space gynecologist.”
